I’m a lifelong fan of speculative fiction and horror, and I bring that passion with me when I edit.
My 20-year career in marketing communications, website content management, and grant writing honed my skills in writing, editing, and reader engagement. But the science fiction, fantasy and horror genres are where my heart lives, and I also welcome thrillers and paranormal romance novels. My freelance work includes editing for websites and anthologies, as well as novels and novellas for independent and small-press authors.
I’m a member of the editorial team at Escape Pod, the Hugo-Award nominated audio magazine. As an associate editor, I’m a first reader for the “slush pile” of hundreds of science fiction stories submitted to our audio magazine. I was selected as a co-editor of the Artemis Rising project for Escape Pod in 2018 and 2019, and will be joining our sister podcast, Psuedopod, as co-editor for Artemis Rising in 2020.
If you’re an author of speculative fiction, you need an editor who knows the current trends in speculative fiction as well as the classics. You can find me at SF and horror conventions like Worldcon, StokerCon, FenCon, and others.
